Just like any portrait session, senior portraits can feel intimidating and, frankly, a little awkward. I have been in your shoes and totally get it! Having someone stare at you with a camera isn’t the most natural way to spend an evening. That’s why I make it my goal to get you ready for the session and feeling confident before you arrive, and then immediately set you at ease once you’re there.
The first thing we go over at each session is some basic posing and showing you exactly where to place your hand, shift your weight, or angle your body. I run though these things quickly so that when I say bring your hand onto your shoulder for example, you won’t be wondering if you’re doing it right.
You will never hear me say “ok, now lean against that wall and give me a cute look!” Yikes, just typing that made me nervous! No, you’ll know exactly where to stand and how to move. In fact, by the time we’re done, you’ll be just like Raquel, shifting into poses on your own without me even suggesting it.
